Our Journey So Far – 9 Months of A.C.E Supporting Services
Over the last nine months, A.C.E Supporting Services has grown in ways we could only have dreamed of when we first began. What started with just one service user — Erin — and one dedicated member of staff has developed into a thriving, supportive community. Today, we proudly support 28 service users and have built a compassionate and skilled team of 10 staff members who share our vision of creating meaningful opportunities for young people and adults with learning disabilities.
From day one, our focus has been on building genuine relationships — not only with the individuals we support and their families, but also with professionals across Ayrshire. We have worked closely with social workers, listening to their experiences and understanding the gaps they often face when trying to find the right support for families. Through open communication, reliability, and person-centred care, we are proud to be helping social work teams build confidence in the options they can offer. Increasingly, A.C.E is becoming a trusted choice for families who want the very best support for their child or young adult.
One of the most rewarding parts of our journey has been seeing the difference our service makes to family life. Many parents and guardians tell us they feel calmer and more supported knowing their loved one is safe, happy, and engaged in fun and meaningful learning activities. For many families, daily life can feel like a constant challenge — a fight to access the right support, understanding, and opportunities. At A.C.E, we aim to remove that fight.
We are incredibly proud to hear families say they are finally able to be “just parents” again. Whether that means returning to part-time work, reconnecting with old friends, or simply having time to rest and recharge, these moments matter. Knowing their young person is building confidence, learning new skills, making friendships, and achieving things they never thought possible brings reassurance and hope.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to growing in a way that stays true to our values — kindness, understanding, inclusion, and empowerment. Our journey so far has shown us the power of community, trust, and believing in potential. This is only the beginning for A.C.E Supporting Services, and we are excited for what the future holds.
